Upstream

As of December 31st, we owned mineral rights to eight exploration blocks in Vietnam: five exploration blocks with a net surface area of 73,336 km2 as well as three production/development blocks with a net surface area of 179 km2.

Net production in 2017 totaled 1.8 mbbl of liquids and 1.4 bscf of natural gas, with a total net production of 2.0 mboe (5,507 boe/d). Proved liquid and natural gas reserves at year-end were estimated at 27.7 mboe.

Milestones

  • In September, the exploratory well 136-CKN-1X was completed in offshore block 136, with positive results.
  • In the same month, a new well in block 15-2/01 (HST / HSD) (Repsol 60% WI) began production in Vietnam, where Repsol owns a 60& participation.
